Slaying My Dragons

This is a journal page I just completed. It is actually the beginning of a larger painting. I wanted to play with the paint colors and see how they would work. And it's also my theme for the last couple of months... slaying my dragons. Or trying to...

Despite my best intentions I haven't been posting to the blog as much as I had planned. I have been in such an art slump. I did complete about 20 alcohol ink paintings and I liked a few. They are so small (the largest being 5" x 7") and I'm still trying to find the right way to work with the inks. There are a few that I like enough to show and will post those. I actually have them framed and hanging in my great room.

On the positive side, I am in a few classes right now that have energized me and at least have me back in the studio! I've been taking a lot of photos and that has helped me come up with some new ideas as well. So, for those of you who are still here, thank you for your patience. Thank you for thoughts and your comments. You are all so special to me. BIG hugs to you!!

Hi Pam! Happy to see your post and sorry you've been in a funk. I'm betting that some of the things you think aren't good enough to post, we would love. Assuming that you are more critical about your own work then we would be. I'm always amazed at your art and would be happy to see anything! Take care...
