I haven't been very productive lately. I don't know why. I have been taking a little time to energize and hopefully find some inspiration. I'm also planning another trip home to visit my friends in Ohio in a few weeks. That always helps lift my spirits.
This is a mixed media piece put together with a little bit of everything. I found this little scrap of a poem I had written along with it in my unfinished box:
A deep impression
Time washes away the tears
But your mark remains
I was experimenting with rusted elements at the time so it was nice to include those. Digging through this box of unfinished pieces has yielded all sorts of surprises. I hope to be back with some new pieces soon -- and back with regular participation in Paint Party Friday!

I'm all about textures and colors. This one is great on both counts.
Hope you are doing well!
Beautiful, Pam. It reminds me of someone walking in the rain. Love the colors.
Great piece with wonderful colours! Valerie
Wonderful atmosphere; for me it says real loneliness. Happy PPF, Annette x
I love this painting, your work just has SO much soul- this is what I hope to one day be able to do....
I've missed you!
PPF Hugs,

I love all the textures and colors. it does look like there is someone in there walking around.:) Have a great trip and hope your spirt lifts. Take care. Happy PPF!
Textures and colors are very expressive ~ creating goes in cycles I find ~ and then sometimes the Muse pops out~ I had hard time with this weeks post on PPF ~ worked on it later and felt better ~ Have a great visit!
Happy PPF ~ Carol ^_^ (Share the Creative Journey)
Your poem fits the painting perfect! They're both beautiful!Reminds me of someone and similar thoughts...Happy PPF!
Beautiful Pam!! Have a great weekend!
This piece is great, it could change completely depending on the mood of the viewer.
It is an awesome piece Pam. One of those "rusted" pieces almost looks like a man strolling through the mist or fog.
this time if other people don't see the faces that stand out, i'll probably have to start wondering if i'm completely insane. so . . .
other people see the faces right? the thoughtful one on our right who's gazing to our left, and the skull partially behind it?
Lovkyne: LOL! Don't worry, I see the faces because I put them there! ;)
Thank you everyone for your comments. I ALWAYS love hearing from you! :)
I really like this piece - the metallic colours and the texture - it looks wonderful.
Oooh! This looks great! Moody and interesting and so textural. And I love your poem.
Happy PPF!
Love the density & textural feel of the piece and the poem is perfect :)
Lovkyne, don't worry I see the faces too...it's when you hear the voices you may start to worry! ;}
Great painting Pam. I love it, very deep and emotional.
Each time I look at this wonderful piece, I see something new and surprising. I love it
Love this rustic piece! The subtlety of hues and textures is scrumtious Pam. My muse has been in a slow summer slog and am hoping the Fall season to re- awaken my spirit- thanks for your lovely comments!
I love the texture and the subtle blending! I get to crazy with color and wish I could be more subtle =)
Great piece and poem/quote!
