Whisper

Time for Paint Party Friday again! I've been inspired by the music of A Fine Frenzy lately. Their album One Cell in the Sea has been playing non-stop on my iPod for days. The song Whisper was the inspiration for this little piece. It's done on watercolor paper. I've once again added tons of papers, layers of paint and some image transfers. Be sure to check out the other participants in the party. You won't be disappointed :)

Here is a video of the song if you'd care to listen to it:

When I first see her I wonder why she is holding herself? Is she walling off the world or self-comforting herself? Intriguing...HAPPY PPF!

David is right. She does remind me of Phoebe. She has such an interesting expression on her face. She looks so deep in thought.

Thank you for sharing the music. It was beautiful. I've never heard of them. I think I'm going to go to iTunes and look them up.

Wonderful to see the finished painting with the music that inspired it.
As you said about The Artist´s way, I´m hoping to get something different out of it this time around. :)

I watched the video and I can understand how you found inspiration in this song. I listened to samples of the entire CD and I really like this music. Good thing I still have a gift certificate with Amazon!

Love the music! The daydream seems to surround the girl like bubbles and birds. Is she freezing and needs something or someone to hold her? But her face expresses that she knows quite well what she wants ... So she looks a little ambiguous to me.
