Ghosts

Playing with layers again. Torn papers, tissue paper, collage and paint. Then scratched into the layers after that. Loving the work of Jeanne Bessette lately. Thank you, Micael, for sending me the link! This is my current obsession: figurative abstract. Even hubby likes it! ;) So I may be doing a lot more on this theme. We'll see...

Love this. Funny, I am working on a piece based on "Your Ghost" by Kristen Hersch and Michael Stipe - Striking how in sync you and I usually are in our journeys.

You've given me some ideas for my own piece. I was at a bit of a roadblock. I think I just needed to turn left.

p.s. The body language in "Whisper" is wonderful... I have "Blow Away" on my painting playlist... good stuff.

there is something about abstract art marking that is so evoking - it gets to the core - allows us to unwrap the layers, peel away the pretense and discover new things about ourselves. wonderful work
