insinuate into the
visual plane; do
the avenues begin to
strain for the diagonal?
Maybe there is always
this lean, this slight
slant. Maybe always
a little pressure
on the same rein,
a bias cut to everything,
a certain cant
it's better not to name.

powerful words - your painting makes me think of a strong powerful women, the background appearing tranquil is actually strong, and seems to give give support. i love the glow around the lady and the glasses make her look a little mysterious as if she knows something but wont tell.

I too enlarged this and saw what wonderful swirls of magic and color surround her. I am loving these elegant/subtle expressions in your recent pieces Pam. Less is definately more.
