Finding Balance

I started playing with Photoshop again after a year or so of not using it. I forgot how fun it is to just play! The girl on the box is my drawing that I scanned and then painted in Photoshop. The background is from a Deviant Scrap kit. I think I will use her in some journal pages!

Have a great weekend, everybody!

Love the background round the girl. What is a Diviant Scrap kit?
And where does one find the enamel paints you are using in your fab. Seuss quote painting today?
And do they give off fumes when you use them?
Sorry :-) so many questions.

Hi Petal Pics. Thank you for your comment! No problem with the questions. Here you go:

1. Deviant Scrap used to be the name of the online scrapbook site that sold the digital kit for that background. They have awesome digital kits. They have changed their name to Mischief Circus now, so you can find them at mischiefcircus.com.

That particular kit was called "A Touch of Fantasy" by Downunder Studios. I looked at the new site and didn't see Downunder Studios listed in the artists section. :(

2. The enamel paints are from Pebeo. I found them at both Michael's and Hobby Lobby. Both places had Pebeo displays set up with examples of what each type of paint will do. That sold me. ;)

3. Fumes: They are solvent based. BUT I did not find the fumes to be any big deal. You can smell them a little but it's nothing that is overwhelming or unpleasant. They come in little jars and I often have 5 or 6 open at one time with no problems.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hiya Pam,

thank you for your patience. I'll look ito it with the help of the addresses you gave.
The enamel paint sounds a bit like what they use for model aeroplanes. You are using it in a very creative way. You might want to go one step further and do some real enameling on a copper base. Or have you done that already?
Thanks again.

Ooh, petal pics, thanks for the idea about the copper! Will have to look into that. Yes, I think it is similar to the model airplane paint. (I use their brushes).
