Stained Glass

This is another painting I've done with the alcohol inks and Yupo paper I talked about in the last post. Thank you all for your kind comments! This one turned out more abstract; could be the addition of the tar gel. ;-) It kind of reminds me of stained glass with all of the different colors. I like playing with the possibilities this technique presents. It's a fun way to see how the inks blend together and interact with the alcohol. Very cool!

It's been a long while since I've had anything to contribute to Paint Party Friday. I'm glad to be able to play again this week. Check it out! I know I plan to.

Have a wonderful weekend everybody!

To me it looks like an abstract flower bouquet. It's a bit like silk painting, isn't it?

It is very pretty. I wonder what would happen in you added black lines to divide parts into a stain glass window look?

Es un resultado sorprendente, la mexcla de colores realmente semeja a una vidriera modernistas, en mi ciudad se encuentran muchas en los edificios de principio del siglo XIX. Saludos

Hi Pam,

First...I love your new look (mind you, I loved your previous look too) but change is good, right?

I find this piece "Stained Glass" very beautiful and eye catching. I really like how the colours work together. It does look like a stained glass window - looks like you're having lots of fun with your choice of inks and paper. You're right..."very cool" sums it up nicely.

I'm happy to read you're back in the saddle with Paint Party Friday - enjoy yourself, have fun.

Hugs, Jenny
